Cap Karoso on French TV - CAP KAROSO

Cap Karoso on French TV

Cap Karoso

June 10, 2019

Last weekend, Sumba found itself in the spotlight, and we’re still buzzing.

In an episode called Sumba, Le Nouvel Eden (Sumba, the New Eden), popular French TV program Sept à Huit traveled to Sumba to meet, in their words, the first French adventurers exploring an unexploited island.

The report, which aired on the leading national channel TF1 on Sunday night, showed some of the most exciting sides of Sumba: the nature, the adventurous spirit, the traditional rituals, the Hospitality Foundation, and, of course, the biggest hospitality project on the island — Cap Karoso.

We were so lucky that the Sept à Huit team chose to visit Sumba on the day of our inauguration ceremony. This was an incredibly special moment which saw us present the Cap Karoso project to all of the village chiefs from the surrounding neighborhoods. With traditional costumes, ritual dances, esoteric dialogue in the local Kodi dialect, the ceremony was certainly rich in local flavor.

Watch the video here, and find out more about Sumba (pardon, c’est en français…)
