The month of September saw another first for us at Cap Karoso as we held our inaugural event, an evening of discussion on Redefining Travel.
Hosted in partnership with Bang & Olufsen and 1880, the ultra-cosmopolitan private member’s club in Singapore, industry experts Kissa Castaneda (Editor-in-chief, Edipresse Media, Singapore), Jinou Park (Vice-President, Asia Pacific, Design Hotels), and Evguenia Ivara (co-founder at Cap Karoso) came together to discuss the changing trends in travel. At the centre of their conversation was the metamorphosis of luxury travel into an all-new collision of lavish indulgence and personalised authenticity.
In the pulsating atmosphere of this urban club, we shared the very special vibe of Sumba through the presentation of a short photography and art film, Prai Marapu, by Bali-based artist Alexander Grabchilev. After 2 weeks exploring the ancestral way of life of locals in remote villages in Sumba, he offered guests an incredible cultural immersion in this lost world.
